Don’t Chase the Dream – Remember to Manifest Your D.R.E.A.M.!

Now is the time to turn your life around! Wake up and live your dream!
Now is the time to turn your life around!               Wake up and live your dream TODAY!

Every second is another chance to change your life. The key is that if you can change your mind, you can immediately change your life. In other words, your perception is your reality.  Scripture to support this is found in part A of Proverbs 23:7, which states: For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he. Therefore, the more you improve and fine tune your thought life, the better life you will live as you consciously think and speak the reality you desire in your heart. Now is the time to Dare to Remember Every Amazing Manifestation! The reality is that your dreams already exist in the heart of God before they came to you and now they are just waiting on you to manifest them into reality! Someone out there just did a double take and re-read the previous sentence. What? Still not convinced? Let’s discuss this further with the only person who can truly convince you–YOU.

Here’s a great question that only you can answer: What is your greatest dream? And now for the follow up question: How far are you between you and that dream? Answer to the follow-up question: As close as you can think it to be possible. Sometimes we unintentionally sabotage ourselves or delay our dreams because we (out of the fear of success) will find other things to do that would be easier than to set our mind to create the opportunity to live the dream. Notice there is no mention of chasing or running after the dream. That’s self-sabotage as well because why should you chase after something that you can think into existence right now and take steps right now to achieve?

Take a pause and get a notebook that you can designate specifically for your dreams. Write down everything you have ever wanted to do. Now, as you continue reading let’s consider the fact that God would not allow those dreams to come into your heart if they were not meant to come true as He already knows the desires of our hearts. Nothing is impossible for Him; therefore nothing is impossible for YOU. Your dreams are not a far away notion. They are here right now ready to manifest. The only thing standing between your dreams is not money or any person. The only obstacle is your focus. Shift your focus today as you read this and change your life right now.

Your thoughts can bridge the gap between dreams and reality. Go back to your list. Number each one in the order in which you would like to achieve them. Turn the page and literally map out your plans to achieve each goal.  Don’t know how? Google it. Get help. Get motivated to keep moving forward into your reality through the shift in your perception of the world around you and your ability to achieve. Set some dates and deadlines. Prepare. Believe. Achieve.

You see, at the end of the day, it all comes down to love and faith. You must love yourself enough to revive your dream and faith enough to believe that you have the ability to achieve it. Never give up on your dreams no matter how old you become. Remember your dreams already have a place in your heart so they will not just disappear or go away. They will only remain suppressed until you decide to achieve them.  Once you activate your faith to achieve your dreams, the rest will come naturally because just as Hebrews 11:1 says, “Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen.” Further substantiation is found in part B of Galatians 5:6 where it says that “faith worketh by love.”

To love is also to trust. Trust yourself and trust God who works in and through you enough to believe that all things are truly possible as long as you actually believe–then believe and keep believing and enjoy feeling the joy with each success leading up to the reality which will be the manifestation of dreams that are in your heart right now.

My testimony: Many writers compose their material based on experience. In my journey of mastering many universal laws, with the help of my parents, pastors, wisdom-filled friends and a great life coach, Kathy Hadley–I am learning that I have actually been applying the laws of attraction and manifestation since the days of my childhood. My parents would always say to me, “You could do anything you put your mind to”. I took that literally and became a master overachiever before I graduated from middle school when I started living my dreams of being on television in the sixth grade when my class was on Good Morning America, and being a public speaker among other things by seventh grade. By high school, I was getting big breaks into the media industry not long after being on WTVD-11 as the valedictorian of the Weldon High School class of 1992 on their “Best of the Class” segment, where I later interned, and by college I was already working in television stations and speaking to audiences at universities and corporate settings. Then life really happened right in the middle of my dream that I was actually living.

I married my childhood sweetheart, had his child, and was separated all in a little less than a year’s time. Divorced by the second year. Devastated yet determined to stay positive for the sake of my little one who I had to raise on my own, I put my dreams on a back burner like none other. My focus was on getting an MBA and working my business as supplemental income while working full time to make sure my daughter’s needs were taken care of. I put my dreams on hold, suffocated them, suppressed them and everything else you could ever imagine–unintentionally. Then my father got diagnosed with vascular dementia and my world changed again. More dreams delayed as my focus was on the continuity of my father’s healthcare while taking care of my own daughter.

By this time, I had locked away all of my writings in boxes, including my dream journal that I started when I was in college. I thank God that I had written them down. During my “awakening” over the past two years, where I have begun to pay attention to what I want out of life after tending to the needs of everyone else around me for about a decade nonstop, I opened boxes of writings and read my unpublished and published poetry, articles, and book material “stop-starts”. In those very moments, my dreams woke me up and backed me into a corner as if to say,  “we shall manifest NOW”. I felt the energy in my writings. I felt the presence of the energy of my former self trying to recharge the present-day newly awakened “Me”.  That was the day I decided to truly get back to loving “Me” and seeking to find the balance of sharing myself with those I love with boundaries so I don’t forget about “Me” and my dreams anymore.  My awakened thought life changed my life.

One day, shortly thereafter, I got a call from someone still wanting me to host a television show that I had in my mind determined I just “didn’t have time to do” and kept putting off communication with the person–unintentionally.

That person never gave up on me. I also felt as if in that same instance, my dream never gave up on me. So now, I’m living my dream of being a television show host and now I’m working on some of my own projects that I have been putting off. I was and still am so thankful for that awakening. It inspired me to get back to everything I started doing years ago with the determination to see them through 20 years later. Ironically, I am also winning at attracting the right mate into my life. God granted me grace the first time and blessed me with a child–the only beautiful fruit of the failed marriage. Now I am experiencing the greatest victory of all: a refreshing and exciting new lease on LOVE through FAITH which can only yield a true marriage union that will endure and last a lifetime.

Many other opportunities in television, marketing and media keep coming my way and I’m attracting all the right things and people into my life. I am just in a perpetual state of thankfulness. So believe me, I’ve been there and survived several storms that at some points actually arrested my dreams. The key to unlocking them was within me. I had to go within to let my dreams free.

I share all this with the hopes of sparking the light inside each of you and to encourage you to never give up on your dreams, no matter how old you are or no matter how difficult present situations may appear to be. They are only illusions and distractions to keep you from the precious promises of God. He wants to give you the desires of your heart but you must first be awake to believe and live your dream.

Don’t let another precious moment of your life pass you by. Whether it is regarding your business, school, love, or just life in general, now is the time to do all you have ever wanted to do! Don’t chase “the American dream” or any other dream that lies within you in any country you may happen to dwell in today. Remember to manifest your dream and Dare to Remember Every Amazing Manifestation.  Keep working on your dreams daily until they become reality. Your dreams deserve to live. YOU deserve to live! Pray. Live. Laugh. Love! #daily

Separation Anxiety: How to Cope and Sieze the Day!

When you can't be with that special someone - touch them with prayer.
When you can’t be with that special someone – touch them with prayer.

What do you do when you miss someone so much that it is hard to focus and the days seem longer and longer? What do you do when you are able to focus but at the end of the day you still miss that special someone? What do you do when you know it is good to be away from your child or children for a little while but you somehow in some crazy way actually miss them calling your name every five minutes and trying to be up under you EVERY SINGLE SECOND of every day?

Anxiety is defined by the medical section of  TheFreeOnlineDictionary.com as  “a feeling of apprehension, uncertainty, and fear without apparent stimulus, associated with physiological changes (tachycardia, sweating, tremor, etc.)”  In many cases, feelings about the loved one is the ‘apparent stimulus’ that yields to many sleepless nights, workaholic tendencies, and for a few some very unproductive and self-defeating behaviors that prevent one one from living the full life of love they actually long for.

So yes, separation anxiety is very real and millions, if not more, deal with it every single day. Some have a longer duration than others but the emotions felt are very dominant in the lives of those affected. Now is the time to examine and assess the healthiest ways to cope. Let’s take a moment to go inward and soar!

Here are five time-proven tips on how to handle separation anxiety from a loved one whether it’s a long-distance relationship, a child away for the summer, a caregiver who is miles away from their loved one or simply missing close friends from high school, college, or former colleagues.

(1) Pray/meditate daily. Sometimes all we need to do is just simply re-center so we can be in a happy place. Happiness starts with you. It is natural to miss someone you love.  In the Amplified Bible, Philippians 4:8 says: For the rest, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is worthy of reverence and is honorable and seemly, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely and lovable, whatever is kind and winsome and gracious, if there is any virtue and excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think on and weigh and take account of these things [fix your minds on them]. This must be a daily practice and brings us to our next tip.

(2) Stay positive no matter what. Yes, this is easier said than done, but if you make a conscious decision to live in each present moment and enjoy the happiness of these moments as opposed to entertaining thoughts of fear (false evidence appearing real) of events that have not happened, or of even past events — you are more likely to stay in a positive frame of mind. This is key for dealing with separation anxiety of any level.

(3) Do things you enjoy most and feel the joy. God is allowing this time apart to take place so make the most of it. For those in relationships, be sure to walk in integrity and do things that you will enjoy sharing with your spouse or significant other. For parents, the same applies and use this time to think of new and exciting things to do with your children that will create long-lasting memories of a lifetime. Absence truly makes the heart grow fonder. Have something great to share with your special someone when you reunite. For long-distance caregivers, look for things that you may want to share with your loved one upon your next visit.

(4) Remember the good times. While waiting for that wonderful phone call or return call, text or that next visit, remember the great times you share together and enjoy those warm feelings. This will attract the great things you actually desire to happen because you are in a state of creating moments of happiness which only brings even more happiness your way. Simply stated: Stay in a place of pure love and love has no choice but to return back to you.

(5) Express gratitude, starve your fears and grow your faith.  FAITH is Forward Action In Trusting Him. Give thanks for the fact that you have someone to miss. Give thanks for the fact that you know you are loved. Do not listen to the whispers of fear and doubt. Those are lies. Love covers all and heals all.  Starve your fears and grow your faith. Trust God with your life and those you love.  If you lost a loved one, it is imperative that you give thanks for the love received from your loved one and give thanks for the great memories you have. Cherish the memories. Try your very best to celebrate the life they lived through your life that you now continue to live with courage, thankfulness and faith.

No matter what end of the spectrum of separation anxiety you are experiencing today, know that you are not alone. Be sure to take it one step at a time – one moment at a time – one day at a time by faith, which worketh only by love. Each and every moment of every single day — be sure to be maintain your emotions in a pure place of love. Love casts out fear.  Be Yourself. Be Love and Live Love –then watch abundance and peace flow through you!

Live an E.P.I.C. Life Today!

Now is the time to live a Forever EPIC life!

Exciting. Prosperous. Innovative. Courageous. An EPIC life. The day I decided to live an E.P.I.C. life is the day my perception shifted into a better reality. It is beyond having a successful day. It is about living the life of your dreams every single day of your life. It is about living with purpose and a sense of destiny.  To be even more specific: It is about having a renewed expectation and understanding that the only thing holding you back from whatever you want in life is YOU. It is time for you to become your own best friend and enjoy the life of abundance you were designed to live!

How does one achieve that? How does one move past perceived failures and disappointments in life to achieve life in EPIC proportions?

Get rid of self sabotage! It is time to break the strongholds of procrastination, doubt, inferiority complexes, low-self esteem other self-defeating behaviors which are deeply rooted in fear and keep one from living out their full potential and maintaining a healthy state of well-being. Take time out of each day whenever possible to cleanse yourself of negative thought patterns and replace them with positive ones that help you have step-by-step successes one moment at a time that help you feel great about yourself, where you are, and where you want to be in life. We truly must be renewed in the spirit of our minds daily. Let go of the heaviness of past, present and future negativity (worry) so you can be open to the lighter, and much brighter side of life that is waiting on you on the other side if you just take the time to break free from yourself and allow yourself to BE who you are created to be and live a fearlessly EPIC life. Now is the time to attract the best in life with the knowledge and understanding that you actually deserve it!

Stay in the NOW! Live in each moment as it comes. Embrace new challenges as exciting chapters in your life to overcome and master for your benefit. Make each storm in your life your own perfect storm knowing that God always works all things together for the good of them who love Him. Stop trying to be everything to everyone and just BE yourself and LOVE yourself. Watch how everything you want in life will come to you because you stopped resisting the flow of your own life while trying to save the world that you already have dominion over. You are always victorious! The challenge is to maintain a consistent feeling of victory in each moment you live within the very depths of your being. Change the current of your mind in a positive direction and forever change your life!

Live your TRUTH, Speak your TRUTH, and welcome abundance! If it doesn’t feel good to you, don’t stay in that moment. Stop talking and thinking about what you don’t want and learn to think and talk about what you DO want! Yes, what do you want? Be honest with yourself and live your truth with yourself and those around you. The truth really does set you free. It takes courage to live the truth but the freedom which comes with it is well worth the sacrifice to achieve. The reward is watching your life expand with more purpose and prosperity because you begin to value yourself more so the entire Universe shifts to your thoughts of high value and self-worth. You attract what you are!!! Pay attention to your environment and those in it. If you don’t like the channel—grab the remote and change it yourself!

F.E.E.L. good about yourself and your life! (Freely Express Energy & Love!) Stop worrying about what others think about you and become more concerned and aware of how you feel about yourself. No one can live your life better than you! Of course, respect the boundaries of others but you must also create your own boundaries so those around you will respect you and the life you are creating and living daily as you FEEL better in each moment as you begin to love yourself and your life more and more.

No fear, only FAITH! (Forward Action In Trusting Him) When the waves of life come crashing in on you, trust God, walk on the water, ride the wave and watch Him take you places beyond the sunshine! You will never know how to make it through the storm until you are on the other side of it. Nothing is impossible for Him so what are you waiting for? Now is the time to live an Exciting, Prosperous, Innovative, and Courageous life! Release the hold button and answer your dreams today! Live as if your life depends on it–because it does!

Love is Your Business: Pursue. Take Risks. Believe. Achieve.

Uncertainty. Fear of the unknown. What if things don’t work out? These thoughts are all a natural response to the beginning phases of something meaningful: a real relationship based on real feelings. After all, if one wasn’t concerned about the outcome, would it really be worth pursuing? Of course not. That’s because anything worth having is truly worth risking the fight to pursue it and benefit from the victory.

Redefine your destiny. Why is it that we can have so much confidence in business goals to achieve what we know deep down inside are virtually impossible? Yet, somehow, through determination, persistence and perseverance we manage to actually make what at first looked impossible happen anyway against all odds. When it comes to relationships, why do we begin to doubt our abilities to achieve success? Why do we have faith in our business risks but sometimes lack faith in risks involving relationships? The same fears of failure exist. The playing fields are even in terms of challenges. Are we more comfortable on one field than another? Examine and assess.

Increase your faith IQ beyond business risks. How does one apply the business practices to the relationship field? The playing field may be different but the rules are the same. It takes collaborative effort (teamwork), effective communication, faith in the ability to achieve (confidence), determination, perseverance, drive, focus, and all the factors that go into winning in the business world, and on the playing field in sports, to win at love.

Be innovative. Break the love barrier and dare to go into unchartered waters. After all, how is doing the same thing over and over working for you? Exactly. What good is it to be successful and have the career, and all the money you need and have not the one thing that can keep your heart smiling for a lifetime: a chance to finally get it right at love. You won’t know until you try.

Never give up. How do you know you will get it right when you set out to do anything? You don’t, but you try anyway. How do you know you will get your next promotion? You don’t, but you keep trying anyway, don’t you? Yes. Why? Because you believe that it is possible. Because you have an innate desire for success. You believe the intangible to be tangible and you attach your faith to it until it manifests. So what’s stopping you when it comes to love? The fear of the unknown. FEAR: False Evidence Appearing Real.

Face your fears and win. We face fears on a day-to-day basis in business and overcome each flying obstacle with finesse. Why not apply that very same positive perspective and high-octane energy to every field of human endeavor–including relationships? Love can be successful. Pursue. Risk. Believe. Achieve.

Spiritual food for thought: Scripturally speaking, I John 4:18 states: There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves punishment (torment). Don’t let the devil steal your destiny.  Breakthrough to the other side where the unknown is. Confidence is merely a focused positive perspective. Just as your team needs your confidence in them to succeed, your mate will need to know you believe in them too. What motivates you to succeed in business?  Apply that same motivation to your love life and watch the return on your investment. Stay the course. Win. Celebrate.

Understand Your Value. Determine Your Worth!

I saw a wonderful Facebook status again that has been floating in cyberspace for a while now. It says: “If you’re not being treated with love and respect, check your “Price Tag.” Perhaps you have marked yourself down. It’s “you” who tells people what you’re worth by what you accept. Get off the “Clearance Rack” and get behind the glass where they keep all the VALUABLES.. Bottom line is…VALUE yourself more! Re-post if you like…you might help someone get off the CLEARANCE RACK!!!!!”

Naturally, I had to share it. If you feel compelled, by all means, do the same. I just wish I knew who the original author was so I could give him or her credit where credit is due.

Let’s think outside the box literally for a moment. Think about the clearance rack in terms of your life.  Let’s get you and everything about you and associated with you off of the clearance rack and back inside the glass case where the valuables are. Your life depends on it. Investors pass by you daily. You want the right one to notice you in your love life, in friendships, your career, and in your finances. You also want to stay protected by God with His favor that surrounds you like a shield– keeping you impenetrable to invasions that set out to disrupt your peace of mind.

Let’s focus on understanding your value and determining your worth. Do you understand that you were destined to do great things? Do you believe in your ability to make a difference in the world you comprise? Do you remember that you are beautifully and wonderfully made and deserve the very best of EVERYTHING?

If not, then let’s change that today with a new self-perception. Even if you do understand these fundamental truths, let’s still make changes because if you are in an uncomfortable place in any area of your life, it would be insane to keep repeating the same actions and expect a different result.

Self-worth is a universal language. Your very entrance and presence in a room says so much about how you value yourself. Put your best foot forward everywhere you go—externally and internally. Your clothes may say one thing but your inner man may need a translation to help you get on the same page within yourself.

Never let someone else define or determine your worth. Constructive criticism for self-improvement is one thing, but never let negative words change your positive perception of yourself or make you doubt yourself. With God, all things are possible. Evaluate. Make changes. Improve. Be.

You must take responsibility for what impacts your perception of yourself starting today. What is happening in your life and how you have been treated is based on your perception of your life and your self-worth. Think bigger and better.

Get radical about your life. End all bad relationships now and do not look back. Do not engage in negative conversations whether it is by text, voice call, online social networking or even email. Get off the phone. Get off of the computer. Get back in touch with the one who can change your situation. Seek God.

I always say pursue your goals and your dreams because your very life depends on it. Challenge yourself to take each first letter in your full government name and write positive words about yourself for each letter. Post it on your mirror. Remind yourself how great you are! Get back in touch with who you really are!

Take a notebook and write down your short-term and long-term goals and develop an action plan as to how you will achieve them. Don’t wait for someone else to push your dream. Get help where needed, but above all else, tap into God’s power inside of you to help make that dream become a reality. For Him, nothing is impossible! Your life deserves it. You are worth it!
