Understand Your Value. Determine Your Worth!

I saw a wonderful Facebook status again that has been floating in cyberspace for a while now. It says: “If you’re not being treated with love and respect, check your “Price Tag.” Perhaps you have marked yourself down. It’s “you” who tells people what you’re worth by what you accept. Get off the “Clearance Rack” and get behind the glass where they keep all the VALUABLES.. Bottom line is…VALUE yourself more! Re-post if you like…you might help someone get off the CLEARANCE RACK!!!!!”

Naturally, I had to share it. If you feel compelled, by all means, do the same. I just wish I knew who the original author was so I could give him or her credit where credit is due.

Let’s think outside the box literally for a moment. Think about the clearance rack in terms of your life.  Let’s get you and everything about you and associated with you off of the clearance rack and back inside the glass case where the valuables are. Your life depends on it. Investors pass by you daily. You want the right one to notice you in your love life, in friendships, your career, and in your finances. You also want to stay protected by God with His favor that surrounds you like a shield– keeping you impenetrable to invasions that set out to disrupt your peace of mind.

Let’s focus on understanding your value and determining your worth. Do you understand that you were destined to do great things? Do you believe in your ability to make a difference in the world you comprise? Do you remember that you are beautifully and wonderfully made and deserve the very best of EVERYTHING?

If not, then let’s change that today with a new self-perception. Even if you do understand these fundamental truths, let’s still make changes because if you are in an uncomfortable place in any area of your life, it would be insane to keep repeating the same actions and expect a different result.

Self-worth is a universal language. Your very entrance and presence in a room says so much about how you value yourself. Put your best foot forward everywhere you go—externally and internally. Your clothes may say one thing but your inner man may need a translation to help you get on the same page within yourself.

Never let someone else define or determine your worth. Constructive criticism for self-improvement is one thing, but never let negative words change your positive perception of yourself or make you doubt yourself. With God, all things are possible. Evaluate. Make changes. Improve. Be.

You must take responsibility for what impacts your perception of yourself starting today. What is happening in your life and how you have been treated is based on your perception of your life and your self-worth. Think bigger and better.

Get radical about your life. End all bad relationships now and do not look back. Do not engage in negative conversations whether it is by text, voice call, online social networking or even email. Get off the phone. Get off of the computer. Get back in touch with the one who can change your situation. Seek God.

I always say pursue your goals and your dreams because your very life depends on it. Challenge yourself to take each first letter in your full government name and write positive words about yourself for each letter. Post it on your mirror. Remind yourself how great you are! Get back in touch with who you really are!

Take a notebook and write down your short-term and long-term goals and develop an action plan as to how you will achieve them. Don’t wait for someone else to push your dream. Get help where needed, but above all else, tap into God’s power inside of you to help make that dream become a reality. For Him, nothing is impossible! Your life deserves it. You are worth it!
