Believe it or not, the one thing that everything great originates from is love. It’s consistent passion in motion that builds empires. It’s love that believes all and conquers all that keeps relationships which go through hell alive in spite of it all. It’s love that truly makes the world go around as it turns through the ups and downs of life. Its that ever-present energy that transcends time and miles that matters more than anything. Most importantly, it’s the love for ourselves that determines how far we excel in and thrive in love, life, and in business. It’s what I call #TheLoveFactor.
Today, so many of us walk around searching and searching for “real” love and tear up relationships meant to help us because of those in our past who have hurt us. The truth is that love itself is “real” so you don’t have to search for real love. It will reveal itself if you pay attention to the love inside of you rather than your fears. Someone missed that: Love is real. Anything outside of that is fear and a lie. Love is the truth. Love always prevails. Love never fails. Love is. Hurt people hurt people. Love didn’t hurt you. Love didn’t cheat on you. Love didn’t leave you. Love didn’t disappoint you. People did.
Now that we have brought truth to light here today beyond the lights as you read this– let’s go deeper. Let’s talk about how we can believe in impossible goals to achieve in business yet somehow many of us are unable to transfer that same energy and faith into believing that we can actually achieve a healthy and loving relationship with someone who truly loves us. Love is your business. We must love ourselves enough to feel again well after the pain. We must love ourselves enough to believe again after the rain. We must love ourselves enough to believe in love that sustains, nurtures, and maintains a real relationship that we deserve. You see, as aforementioned, love is real. There are just some relationships which aren’t real due to people who are projecting the lie they tell themselves onto the people they decide to be in a relationship with. That is an unfortunate reality but understand that there is hope. There are people who want to love and be loved in return with faithfulness, honesty, sincerity, loyalty and so much more. We just have to love ourselves enough to recognize and appreciate love when it comes to us. Love recognizes love just as game recognizes game. Just something to think about. #TheLoveFactor
Once we realize that we deserve love, we can become champions in love and overcome the pain and disappointments of the past. People are not perfect. Only Jesus is and we can be perfect in Him through our belief in Him. Love covers all. God’s love (perfect love) casts out fear. Fear has torment. It’s time for us to decide to no longer be tormented by our past without apologies. We can be conquerors in love. We can channel that energy through our personal relationships into the rest of our lives. We can set healthy boundaries and decide that we love ourselves enough to have unlimited abundance in our careers–to achieve more, our finances–to earn more, our family relationships–to fellowship more and our personal relationships with those we love–to love more. It will help us be clearer in our decisions across the board wherever we are. Clearing out that negative energy of holding onto the past makes room for more positivity, more opportunities, and most of all — more love. You are worth it. Your life deserves it. The Box Office Hit “Beyond The Lights“, written and directed by Gina Prince-Bythewood, maker of the hit movie “Love and Basketball“, delivered another slam dunk in entertainment with this drama filled, moving and purposeful cinema blockbuster. She was inspired after attending an Alicia Keys concert to create this masterpiece. Powerhouse performances by Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Nate Parker, Minnie Driver, and a host of other talented supporting actors and actresses bring this story of the rise, and fall of a pop star to life with passion, emotion and compassion needed to show what happens literally beyond the lights in her life.
Even the music was phenomenal and well suited for the movie. My absolute favorite was the song below performed by Rita Ora, Grateful. It’s poetic, yet profoundly exudes strength and promise of a better tomorrow. There are so many elements that are necessary to make a great movie and this one has all of the key ingredients to make a timeless movie filled with lessons that will last a lifetime.
To keep from having to create a series of “spoiler alerts,” I’ve described only the surface of this great movie with video to support. I even love their “#TheTrueYou” social media campaign where they are encouraging people to embrace their natural beauty. With this in mind, it’s only fitting that today, we will talk about how to #IGNITEyourLife “Beyond the Lights”.
Yes, there comes a time where we have to step away from the both the real and virtual stages, the conferences, the social media posts, the in person/virtual seminars and video conferences and even general organic public appearances. In those times, when it’s just you and the man/woman in the mirror, we have to take the real test of dealing with ourselves– by ourselves. There are no likes to support us when we look in the mirror every morning. There are no posts to help cheer us on or in-boxes, texts, or calls to share how great we are. Only our very own internal dialogue remains. It is in these times that we must remain positively charged so you can #IGNITEyourLife from the inside out.
1. Be honest with your emotions. Whether they are good, bad, happy or sad, deal with your emotions and work your way through them so you can find a better feeling and stay positively charged. Even if you feel good, find your way to great so you can maximize your energy!
2. Monitor your internal dialogue. What matters most is not what others say about you but what you say about yourself. It’s not what you are called, but rather what you answer to. You know you are great but what are you telling yourself daily with your actions. Be great. Don’t accept less than what you deserve. Your core beliefs about yourself is what you are experiencing everyday. Change your own game with powerful internal dialogue that is louder than your circumstances.
3. Create intentional thoughts. Happiness is a decision. Joy, a more intense and fulfilling form of happiness, is a decision. Strength is a decision. Courage is a decision. Be intentional about your decisions regarding yourself and your attitude toward life. Life happens. The question is: “What will be your state of mind when it does happen?”
4. Mind over matter. The brain is so powerful that it is wired to create around the clock. With the intentional thoughts described above, one has no limit to what one can achieve in life. Your belief system impacts what thoughts your mind creates which in turn impacts the actions you take. Retrain your brain to achieve success daily.
5. Know you have the victory. When it comes to the battlefield of the mind, the only way to win is to know deep down inside that you already have the victory. Practice this conviction daily so you can always stay the champion you were born as based on your spiritual DNA. It’s when we finally come into that mental awareness that we become and consistently stay the champions we already are.
Most people feel it takes great strength to face people you know secretly hate you in the light. This is true. However, it takes even greater courage to be who you are in spite of the the darkness that’s revealed in the light. Greater still is the courage you are able to maintain within yourself each day you rise #BeyondTheLights! Continue to dare greatly. Greatness is in you because you were created by the Greater One who lives within you.

Many will wonder how you did it all the real way with passion from nothing but your faith that worketh by love itself! THAT is success! When your grind is so loud that money hears you and finds you! THAT’S cash flow! Many are born into this life but only a few choose to truly live it right now. Life is a series of decisions. Choose wisely. Every second is another chance to turn your life completely around and change the course of your life.
Don’t be afraid of the fire on the other side of your fear. The fire never burns you. It only purifies you and reveals the real you! Never give up no matter what! Just believe and be forever you! Your gifts will make room for you. My soul is a witness because THIS is who I am. I am forever Toy – an unstoppable force of love. A champion. An achiever. An original. An innovator. A pace setter.
