On Election Day, I worked nonstop 6am to 9pm.
I’d do it all over again to help facilitate the Democratic process! We had to set up the precinct the night before. We were in meetings and webinars during the summer, classes in the fall, plus so much more—all to ensure fairness and a safe voting experience.
Even Republicans are stating how the Democratic process must prevail regardless of the outcome. For once, almost everyone is on the same page—this is needed in the days, months and years ahead.
Keep the FAITH and spread it!
Imagine how in 1964 when Vice President Elect Kamala Harris was born, African American women still did not have the right to vote!
Delayed but not denied!
This speaks volumes….
This is a great start but we have a whole lot of work to do. God help us all and continue to work everything together for our good!
We were Kings and Queens who were snatched from our homelands, enslaved, and went from picking cotton over generations to picking a president. Now we’re witnessing a woman of both African descent (Jamaican) and South Asian descent from an HBCU (Historically Black College and University) rise to be elected to the second highest seat in the land. It’s a new day. This shift in the atmosphere has been happening all quarter, and now the best is yet to come! We are all one race—the human race!
I’ve always told my daughter that she can do anything she sets her mind to do but I’m happy that the world is showing her that I’m right!
I wear my heels because there’s glass everywhere! No more glass ceilings! 🔥
A commitment to service;
NOT a stepping stone to status! #AlphaPhiMade
I’m a proud member of Omega Lambda Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated in the Mid-Atlantic Region. My undergraduate chapter is my beloved Alpha Phi Chapter at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University.
We thank all of the Divine Nine and everyone of all races for support of our beloved Vice President Elect Kamala Harris!
Let’s choose to sit together in Heavenly places! God is giving us yet another chance to get it right! It’s up to us to be the change we seek!
